Sorah Al-A'la ( The Most High )

Sorah Al-A'la ( The Most High ) - Verses Number 19

سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى ( 1 )

Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,

الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ( 2 )

Who created and proportioned

وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ( 3 )

And who destined and [then] guided

وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ ( 4 )

And who brings out the pasture

فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ ( 5 )

And [then] makes it black stubble.

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰ ( 6 )

We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,

إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ ( 7 )

Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ( 8 )

And We will ease you toward ease.

فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ ( 9 )

So remind, if the reminder should benefit;

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ ( 10 )

He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى ( 11 )

But the wretched one will avoid it -

الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ ( 12 )

[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ( 13 )

Neither dying therein nor living.

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ( 14 )

He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself

وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ ( 15 )

And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا ( 16 )

But you prefer the worldly life,

وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ ( 17 )

While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ ( 18 )

Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,

صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ( 19 )

The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

Some Sincere Advice To Every ChristianMost people agree to the fact that Allah’s (God’s) Word cannot be contradictory. What He spoke about Himself must be true. He made Himself known as The Creator, The One, The Originator, and The Provider. Guarding the TongueBefore you is a chapter from the great book "Al-Adhkaar" of the Imam and great scholar of the seventh century, Abu Zakariyyah Yahya ibn Sharaf an-Nawawi. The chapter is entitled "Hifdh-ul-Lisaan" or "Guarding the Tongue." The original source, "Al-Adhkaar," is one of the prize works of Imam an-Nawawi in which he compiles and discusses the texts related to what is recommended and forbidden from speech, focusing on al-adhkaar (words of remembrance) and al-ad'iyah (supplications). In the last part of the book, as he explains, Imam an-Nawawi devotes a chapter to what is forbidden and disliked from speech, such as backbiting, gossiping, and slander. So he brings the evidences from the Qur'aan and Sunnah on the obligation of guarding the tongue from evil speech. This great work was checked and verified by Shaikh Saleem ibn 'Eed al-Hilaali and printed in two volumes. In his verification, Shaikh Saleem provides a grading for each hadeeth as well as a discussion about the reason for the hadeeth's authenticity or weakness. Due to a desire to make the e-book a source of easy reading and benefit, the verification of hadeeths have been limited to just the grade that Shaikh Saleem al-Hilaali has provided and the references of the hadeeth sources they can be found in, while abridging his discussions of certain hadeeths in some places.
